PIER 39’s 2025 TULIPMANIA FESTIVAL
PIER 39’s popular Tulipmania Festival returns this year, showcasing over 50 varieties of tulip, narcissus, and hyacinth flowers – over 20,000 bulbs in all! Planted throughout both levels of The PIER, these seasonal blooms will be “springing up” in mid-March, just in time for spring. PIER 39’s Tulipmania Festival occurs at a slightly different time each year depending on weather conditions, our landscaping team’s planting schedule, and Mother Nature. At the moment you can already see hundreds of bulbs peeking out of our planters – and in a few short weeks, PIER 39 will be a-bloom with color!

35TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE SEA LIONS
This year marks 35 years since California Sea Lions appeared on our docks after the Loma Prieta earthquake.
